Covid-19 Update

Mar 26, 2021

We are taking bookings from April 12th 2021 in accordance with government guidelines except for key workers etc.

With the exception of Emergency, Key workers etc,  if you are an emergency care or key worker in need of accommodation, please get in touch via [email protected] or Tel: 01458 253099
Please see details on our current cleaning regime.

You can book as normal for future dates, later in the year, but the short term is subject to constant review and change depending on official advice as we continue on through this difficult time.
We hope that our prospective and regular guests recognise that this is done to show that we understand the need to act responsibly. We all need to be aware of our community’s concerns and pressures at a time when the health of the nation takes precedence over everything else
We believe and know this to be the right thing to do, for our guests and staff. The time to protect others at the expense of our business is now. And those we protect now will hopefully, come back to us when this extraordinary event comes to an end. And at this time, we will look forward to welcoming you all back to Withy Cottages with open arms.

Covid-19 Notice

In case you were wondering if it’s safe to come to Withy Cottages during these uncertain times, we wanted to reassure you of the usual and extra measures we are taking right now.

We are monitoring the situation closely and day by day – at the moment, we’re operating business as usual and look forward to seeing you.

When you’re here, you should know that:

  1. We disinfect all work surfaces, door handles, TV remotes, light switches, chairs etc.
  2. We use a disinfectant spray on the soft furnishings.
  3. We will continue to wash all towels, tea towels and bed linen, whether they have been used or not at a high temperature.
  4. The cutlery and crockery will be put on a hot wash and stored in the dishwasher for your use.
  5. Our staff are washing their hands regularly before, after and during the cleaning of your cottage using handwashing technique as set out by the WHO
  6. We are checking in with staff daily to ensure they are healthy and well and have not been in contact with anyone who has travelled from affected Covid-19 areas
  7. We are not accepting guests who have travelled from abroad.

Please don’t be offended, but we will not be shaking hands when we greet you at the cottage.

If you have a cold, a sniffle, a cough, fever or are feeling unwell, firstly, we are sorry to hear it! And secondly, we would ask that you kindly to cancel or reschedule you’re booking so that we can see you when you’re back feeling fighting fit.
If and when the time comes that we need to take extra measures, we will do so in the most responsible way as advised by the right authorities.

Thank you, Mary

The Garden Project

The Garden Project

Work continues in the lower garden and weather permitting the new turf will be completed soon. The secret patio at the bottom of the garden now has a lovely wooden bench where you can sit and listen to the birdsong and gaze over the meadow grass watching the cows graze. We have an amazing selection of birds in the area and at times it can be quite noisy with them all  to singing their beautiful tunes.
