Wincanton Racecourse hosts 17 fixtures of quality jump racing from October through to May including a number of Premier Days and Special Events:
- Badger Ales Raceday – Saturday 9th November 2013
- Boxing Day Raceday – Thursday 26th December 2013
- Kingwell Hurdle Raceday – Saturday 15th February 2014
- Raceday – Wednesday 26th February 2014
- Raceday – Thursday 6th March 2014
As well as watching the excellent racing there is plenty to see and do with our racecard competition, trade stands and other activities relating to the day’s theme.
Saturday racedays provide some of the best racing of the National Hunt season featuring a number of the top horses in the Country. Weekend and Bank Holiday fixtures provide exceptional value for a family day out as children aged 17 and under gain free admission to all Standard and Feature Days. In addition, there are free Junior Jumpers’ activities for all children.
Notable racedays include the Bathwick Tyres Countryside Day in March which includes terrier and ferret racing (so if you don’t back a winner on the horses, try the ferrets!), our evening meeting in May which includes live music after racing and our Ladies Day in May which rounds off the season with a competition for the best dressed lady.
